Waste heat recovery - Heat recovery
Birk supplies a compact, ready-to-install waste heat recovery system for hot water generation to a long-standing customer in the field of glass processing.
The system is designed for exhaust gas temperatures of approx. 420°C, making it possible to recover several hundred kW of heat output at a relatively low volume flow of approx. 5000 m³/h. Due to the single-pass design of the system, only minimal space is required for installation and, at the same time, very little effort is required for cleaning, servicing and maintenance.
The scope of the system includes the ready-to-install waste heat recovery system, whose innovative design and construction enables on-site installation with minimum effort. The plant is completely mechanically and electrically pre-assembled, so that only the supply of the flue gas and water connections or the power supply is necessary.
The waste heat recovery system is designed for outdoor installation and has, among other things, a weather- and UV-resistant paint finish and electrical installation or weather protection hoods for the valve sections. The outdoor installation of the waste heat recovery system enables the customer to easily use waste heat from exhaust gases without the loss of further production areas.
