Thermal exhaust gas purification for rotary kiln

The company Birk supplies a thermal afterburning plant / thermal exhaust air purification plant in customer and process specific special execution to a customer of many years from the range of the industrial furnace construction.

The post-combustion plant / exhaust air purification plant was designed for a raw gas mass flow of 67.5 kg/h from the exhaust gases of an upstream inert heat treatment process in a rotary kiln. The plant has a process-specific design and arrangement of the raw gas inlet from the furnace plant as well as a customer-specific arrangement of the other plant components. The combustion plant of the post-combustion plant is equipped with the latest generation of the Multifire industrial burner series and has two autarkic running natural gas burners - integrated into one combustion unit.

The plant is completely designed for outdoor installation and is equipped in such a way that the entire firing and control technology on the plant side is protected from light and weather influences and is installed under an enclosure enclosing all sides. This is smooth and in the colour of the system, giving the system a reduced and elegant appearance in addition to its protective function. The system is controlled and operated via the in-house PLC S7-based control system with touch display. The system is designed as a compact version, whereby it is delivered ready for operation, i.e. completely electrically and mechanically pre-installed.
