Thermal afterburning system at pilot project plant

The company Birk supplies a thermal afterburning plant / thermal exhaust air purification plant in customer-specific special design to a university and technology research centre.

The post-combustion plant / exhaust air purification plant was designed for a raw gas volume flow of 110 mn³/h from the exhaust gases of upstream pilot process plants. The plant has a special design of the raw gas inlet as well as a customer-specific arrangement of the other plant components in order to meet the limited space conditions at the installation site.

The plant is equipped with full-surface contact protection in the entire area of the combustion combustor jacket.

This is made of perforated sheet metal and, in addition to its protective function, gives the system an elegant appearance. Corresponding system components and media interfaces with increased noise generation have been soundproofed with directly matched silencer units in order to meet the noise requirements in the area of system installation. The system is controlled and operated via the in-house PLC S7-based control system with touch display.

The system is designed as a compact version, which means that it is delivered ready for operation, i.e. completely electrically and mechanically installed. The system is designed for export and has multilingual documentation and visualisation.
