Compact exhaust air cleaning for 1kg/h raw gas
The company Birk supplies a thermal afterburner / thermal exhaust gas purification as a subcontractor via a renowned industrial furnace manufacturer to a long-standing customer from the automotive supplier industry. The afterburning / exhaust gas purification was designed for the very low raw gas mass flow of only 1 kg/h from the exhaust gases of a siloing process.
The plant has a special design of the raw gas inlet in order to meet the limited space conditions of the customer at the installation site and even provides for the possibility of connecting a further siloing plant in the future.
In order to meet the high customer requirements for operational safety and plant availability, numerous plant components are designed according to the high standards of the SIL classification, which guarantees a high level of protection for the employees as well as a high level of process stability. In order to meet the equally high noise emission reduction requirements, the afterburning system is equipped with a comprehensive noise reduction package, which also includes the 2nd generation low-dB sound insulation cabins on the fans.
These measures guarantee a total noise emission of less than 64 dB at the thermal afterburning system. The system is equipped with full-surface protection against accidental contact in the entire area of the combustion chamber jacket to protect against burns. This is made of perforated sheet metal and, in addition to its protective function, gives the system an elegant appearance. The entire scope of supply also included the raw gas supply/exhaust with bypass function, as well as the clean gas discharge into the on-site industrial chimney system.
A platform construction for the placement of the TNV plant with access surfaces above the furnace plant was carried out by the customer. The plant is designed as a compact unit, which means that it is delivered ready for operation, i.e. electrically and mechanically pre-installed. The entire control, regulation and monitoring functions of the plant are performed by a SiemensS7 control system, which is equipped with a user-friendly visualization system.
